We recently added Depop to our list of our favourite secondhand marketplaces. Buying from small businesses and vintage sellers is becoming more and more important – for many good reasons! It is time to support common people and shop used, vintage, upcycled or made to order clothing to end fast fashion. We curated a list of our current favourite sellers and shops on Depop for some inspiration! Depop also has some great goals regarding sustainability that we talked about here.
We would also like to add the disclaimer that when shopping vintage it is important to make sure the shop is ethical and no impoverished neighbourhoods are being harmed. Sometimes vintage sellers buy cheap pieces that are meant for local communities and resell them at a higher price. This not only takes away clothing from those communities but often also drives up prices. Thankfully Depop makes it super easy to dm sellers who are usually always nice and open discuss any questions you have. We love it! So let us have a look at our current favourite shops on Depop!
